The Ocoee Police Department,
in conjunction with the Ocoee Founder’s Day Festival Committee, will
host the fourth annual Founders’ Day Festival Poker Run. This run will
feature motorcyclists, classic cars and hot rods driving to five
stations to collect playing cards, and the driver with the best poker
hand wins.
The
proceeds from this Poker Run will benefit the Ocoee Police Department’s
"Holiday
Toys for Tots in Need" program.
The
event is schedule to take place Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 (one week before
Founders’ Day). Registration will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Frank’s Place at
146 Clarke Rd. (S.W. corner of Clarke Rd. and Silverstar Rd). The run will
conclude at the same location. The cost will be $10 a participant and
additional hands can be obtained for a $5 dollar donation. The first 100
participants will receive an event t-shirt.
There are several
ways for sponsors to participate in this event including t-shirt, map and/or
playing hand sponsorships. All donations are welcome, but donations totaling
$100 (cash or in-kind) will be acknowledged with donors’ names on the back of
the Poker Run T-shirt. Larger donations will earn space for company logos. Any
In-kind donation will be used for drawings and prizes
